This beautiful scarf is named after Bengal, an area renowned for its masterful weavers and elaborate jacquard borders with reverse image on the other side - a sign of a true handwoven jacquard. We love this border because it feels like something you might find in your Indian grandmother's closet - a true vintage look. We added playful stripes in grey and red to make it more modern and playful.
Content: 100% Cotton. Dimensions: 82" x 43"
Each scarf was made with love and respect - for those who wear it - as well as for those who wove it.
Indigo Handloom has been designing handwoven scarves and fabrics since 2003. Our work helps to revive the traditional textile arts of khadi (hand-spun yarn) and handloom weavingwhile supporting community development in rural India. We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of the world of textiles. Everything we offer is made on an ancient handloom and therefore requires no energy source. We use a variety of low-impact dyes. Through our work, we have been able to support hundreds of weavers and their families.
All Indigo Handloom products are proudly designed and distributed in Oakland, CA.
